Are you one of those parents who can sometimes be frustrated with your baby's sleep? Don't worry, there is help available. Many parents who find that their baby sleeps poorly often get good results with just small changes.
Here we give you good advice on how to hopefully create a better night's sleep in the future. ♡
PUTTER RITUALS
A good start for better sleep is to incorporate some regular cuddling rituals. Start even before your child is put to sleep by creating a cozy time at the changing table. You can advantageously place your baby on a changing pad while changing diapers, clothes and singing a regular song.
To create a better balance and calm in your baby's nervous system, you can also perform light reflexology on, for example, the zones under the feet. Make sure to make it a cozy and comfortable thing to go to sleep, as your child will quickly be able to recognize the rituals and find security in them.
SWADD YOUR BABY
A good way to help your baby calm down is to use the swaddling method. By swaddling your baby, he/she will experience the same security as the time in his/her mother's womb. A newborn baby cannot fully control his/her movements yet, which can cause him/her to wake up restless. By swaddling your baby, his/her arms and legs will lie close to his/her body, thus contributing to a deeper, calmer and better sleep.
(NOTE: We recommend that you as parents research how to swaddle your baby correctly, as well as how long an infant should be swaddled at a time)
SAFETY WITH A BABY NEST
A baby nest is ideal for your baby who has difficulty finding peace. A baby nest embraces and envelops with its soft sides and gives the same safe feeling as the time inside the womb. You can place the baby nest anywhere and it also ensures that your baby cannot roll out, so you as a parent can feel completely safe. With a baby nest you will quickly experience that your child finds peace, recognition and sleeps better.
If you co-sleep, it can also be a really good idea for baby to lie in the baby nest so that he/she cannot roll over and you don't have to worry about rolling over on baby.
We hope you can use some of our advice and remember that all babies are different, and there is no right or wrong. Try the advice that makes sense to you as parents and take what you think works. You can find both changing pads , swaddles and baby nests on this page.
